Advertising

A   Junior Trainer   was discussing with   a Senior  Trainer the merits of advertising ones credentials and services , he mentioned that  in spite of him having a regular  detailed advert  on his website which  clearly out lining his skills and services  his cliental book is no way as big as other trainers not as half as qualified as he is.

Senior  Trainer asked him “what does your adverts says”

“Well”  he replied  “ It outlines  my  experience , patience  and dedication  even to the not so special   rider”

“Really  you say all that in your website  ?”  Senior Trainer  asked.

“Yes I do “     it says in big bold letters   “YOU  dont have to be  Charlotte  or Anky , compete like Carl   or  win like  Isabel, you may have problems with flying changes or nerves takes over when ever you go down the centre  , DONT WORRY  I am your trainer,  even if you are mounted on hairy little native “

“so  you dont have many students “  Senior Trainer repeated

“not  enough , And   I am so willing and encouraging to the ordinary limited no hopers , how come your book is so full?” .

Senior Trainer  thought long and hard and then said “ I had an advert like yours but it was to long and to detailed now I have one sentence and it made all the difference “

“What is it? “ Junior Trainer  asked

Senior Trainer said  “my web site says that  I am only available  to teach the most gifted  and talented”

“ and do you?”   Junior  Trainer  asked.

“NO  !!    but who cares the phone never stops  ringing”
