Flossy is well known to many on the British Dressage Forum as a teller of interesting stories and perhaps the odd joke or two. We have selected a few tales for your pleasure.

Why do they do it

Why do they do it

Sitting in the tribunes during the GP competition were couple of gentlemen from an island next to the UK known for its hunting and jumping but not so much for its interest in dressage.
Watching the activity in the arena in front of them,
Paddy shook his head and asked “why do they do them things in the sand pit?”
“what things?” asked Mick
“all this turning and twisting with the horses, must be uncomfortable on ones bottom all this bouncing in the saddle, it is raining and this girl keeps going, and it is not very exiting with out hounds and jumps, why would they torture themselves like that”
“it is all for prestige and glory” replied Mick again “do you know the winners they get medals “
"Yeah, I understand that." said Paddy, "But why do all the others do it”

(may be because the judges don't know who will win in advance after all)
