Flossy is well known to many on the British Dressage Forum as a teller of interesting stories and perhaps the odd joke or two. We have selected a few tales for your pleasure.

Foggy Judging

For many competitors  the  “NATIONALS”  were  a very  special event    and an unusual   experience  for others .
Apart from having to cope with all the extra stresses  that  taking part in   a high profile show   imposes ,  some had  the added  hindrance of   having to  ride their tests in the early morning    thick FOGG.
One competitor  was so disorientated,  from not being able to see beyond his horses  ears , that  when he caught glimpse of the judge sitting in the car  by   H,
he thought to himself that he was back in Africa  watching “ Gorillas   in the mist”.
The judges also found that having to perform their duty  under these conditions  is not easy.
A  visiting    foreign judge   positioned at  C   told  his writer  that he will have to delay starting the class   as he can’t see   WHO is coming  down the centre.
The writer  told him    to get on with it ,  he just need to listen to the announcer on the public address  system   and he will have all the information  REQUIRED to judge.   And any way DRESSAGE  riders are well used to  FOGGY   judging.
