Flossy is well known to many on the British Dressage Forum as a teller of interesting stories and perhaps the odd joke or two. We have selected a few tales for your pleasure.

Selecting a chair person

The board of an equestrian organization was deliberating what qualities are required in order to fill the position of a chairperson of the organization.
The first member to voice his opinion advocated a judge who will be able to deal with all the recent issues involving the judging system , another said that they don't care who and from where as long the understand the sport.
The out going chair person emphasised that experience gained in the legal field will be an asset to who ever gets this appointment.
And so every member of the board contributed to the debate the characteristics mentioned were diverse as any committee, honesty , integrity, human skills or equine skills, from this sport or from other sport every characteristics had those for and those against .
Until the opinion of one old trainer was sought after, this senior trainer that seldom says much told the committee that the new chair can come from any where and he/she will do fine as long that he or she are small.
“What size has to do with this position” he was asked to explain further, to which he replied “as long he/she are small we will be able to keep them in our pocket”
