Flossy is well known to many on the British Dressage Forum as a teller of interesting stories and perhaps the odd joke or two. We have selected a few tales for your pleasure.

Leaving your trainer

A Junior Dressage Diva had the heart breaking task of informing her Trainer that she made the decision to leave Junior Trainer and join Senior Trainers out fit.
No amount of “ I am ever so grateful for your help, I really appreciate etc , I will be back as soon as I fix the problem (which means never)” did make the conversation any easier or pleasant for any body involved.
You could not miss the hurt in Junior trainers eyes or in his trembling voice, “THANKS” Junior said “after I supported you through the high and lows of the dressage journey ,who was there for you when score after score were not above 57%,, Who held your hand when the mechanical horse nearly bucked you off and the owner refused you a second go as he believes even his machine could not cope with your version of sitting trot, and the long period of down down down you went through when BD did not implement your suggestion for a restricted section of halt only test, who drove al the way from Surrey to Scotland , to retrieve your horse from the Lothian area festival because your brand new Oakley suprano got jammed under the motor way bridge because some moron pressed the extend / expand button on the dash board instead of the light switch. Lets see if this Super Dooper Trainer will even remember you name with out looking at the cheque first”.
This Junior Dressage Diva looked a little taken back and then she tossed her head brushed some hair off her face and said “Now that you said it I feel better, as you can see since I have been training with you I had awful lot of bad luck , hopefully it will change with a new trainer”
