Flossy is well known to many on the British Dressage Forum as a teller of interesting stories and perhaps the odd joke or two. We have selected a few tales for your pleasure.

I cant remeber

Gustav von Kirchhoff the senior FEI judge lowered himself into the chair ready to judge the PSG class at the Hartelbury premier show, he was pleased to see that the allocated writer was Miss Wallaby Jones whom he met many years ago , in matter of facts they first met in a similar situation in the London Olympics,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, the 1948 ones .
While the first rider was performing the last warming up rounds , Herr Kirchhoff and miss Wallaby were exchanging pleasantries and inquiring about each others health.
“To tell the truth” said herr Kirchhoff “my eye sight is not as good as it used to be and for any movement performed beyond X I will need your assistant you will have to describe the performance to me so I can tell you what mark to write on the score sheet”.
Miss Wallaby Jones assured him “Don't you worry Mr Herr Gustav my eye sight is as good today as it was in 1948 take no notice of the inch thick lens on my spectacles I am like an eagle in the sky I can spot a mouse in the grass from a mile high”
The first competitor started his test and once he turned away from the judge and moved to the top end of the arena Miss Wallaby Jones relayed in detail how the exercise was executed, “good rhythm , head slightly nearly in front of the vertical etc , Quick as a flash after short mental calculation Herr Kirchhoff said “write 7.5” after few seconds he repeated “go on write 7.5”
Miss Wallaby Jones sat there as if frozen and then turned to wards Herr Kirchhoff and said “sorry I cant remember what you said”
